active channels and the cold junction reference input.
Cold Junction CompensationThermocouple input channels are adjusted for cold junctiontemperature. The cold junction reference can either be thebuilt-in reference available on the I/O module's terminationunit or a value originating from any other function codeblockoutput anywhere in the system. The cold junction referencesupplied by the controller is assumed to be in degrees C.TheASI module converts this value to millivolts and adds it tothevalue from the analog-to-digital converter.
