The board is supplied with ±15V, either internally or externally. The analog side of the board is galvanically insulated from the system. The first output, is the current output, which can drive or sink a current of 20 mA. The board has a test input/output on the front panel and a test switch which can be used to test whether the board is working properly. By turning the test switch to the position for measuring inputs, a power supply can be connected to the test terminal (protecting resistance should be used in the serial channel) to test whether the inputs are working properly.
