Installation should not be attempted without referring to the applicable PLC Installation Manual.
Make sure rack power is off.
Install in rack. (See figure 1)
Turn on power. The module should power up and blink the top LED for about 5 seconds. When the diagnostics have completed successfully the top LED stays. The middle LED is turned ON when a valid configuration for the module has been received from the CPU, and the IC66* I/O bus operation has been verified.
