It holds several circuit boards and power supplies. All the units are accessed either from the front or the rear of the rack. The rack contains an 84 HP backplane allowing circuit boards and modules to be inserted from both sides. Two different sizes of 6U boards is used (depths 160 and 220 mm). All circuit boards are supported by guide rails. The rack also contains two high efficiency fan units.
