This “unit” is connected internally to the TRU GBit switch board. The RDL is a real time software application that provides the capability to log raw hydrophone data from hydrographic instruments produced by Kongsberg Maritime. The communication between the RDL and the transceiver unit uses a 1 Gbit Ethernet line.
